Let the Dance Dance You

Take a deep breath and let it out with a sigh…

There is a power greater than you. It is in the djembe, in the seasons, in the movement all around you. It is seen and unseen. Life is dancing you. Let it be a dance of grace.

Body Wisdom Practice

Spring is upon us in the Northern Hemisphere. Instead of speeding up, let spring spring you! For those moving toward Fall, fall lovingly into the earth. Soften your focus.

Want to play with releasing co-creative insistence and control? Be a tumble weed in the wind, a rock rolling downhill, the fire of energy.

Take a deep breath. Let drum and flute drop you into the dance that is always there.

Start with a hand moving like a kite in the wind,

Let it shake,

Let it be perfectly still,

Drop back in your seat.

Let the dance of life take you on a brief spirit detour into Grace.

Beannacht (“Blessing”) Poem by John O’Donahue

On the day when the weight deadens

on your shoulders and you stumble,

may the clay dance to balance you.

And when your eyes freeze behind the grey window

and the ghost of loss gets in to you,

may a flock of colours, indigo, red, green,

and azure blue come to awaken in you a meadow of delight.

When the canvas frays in the currach of thought

and a stain of ocean blackens beneath you,

may there come across the waters

a path of yellow moonlight to bring you safely home.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours,

may the clarity of light be yours,

may the fluency of the ocean be yours,

may the protection of the ancestors be yours.

And so may a slow wind work these words of love around you,

an invisible cloak to mind your life.

Raise a hand in blessing

Raising a hand in peace to all directions, especially to those in difficulty, we honor the changing dance of seasons on the planet, in our lives, above and below.

Take a deep breath and let it out with a sigh…
