In pain or stress, incrementality may be difficult. Survival is demanding.

It is OK to take leaps of imagination with heart, prayer and vision, to be carried, to take no steps, to rise out of your body, to hover, to rest in “other worlds.” All is body wisdom for the art of living.

Take a moment to dance on behalf of the joy and love of friends in InterPlay who are moving through health challenges: Ann and Rae in Sydney, Randall in Memphis. Others? Place their names in the comments.

Do you need to be danced on behalf of today? Anytime someone opens and plays “Amy’s Song” a prayer of love will be danced for you.

Shake out one hand and Shake out the other.

Now, Shake Out Whatever You Are Sitting On!

This is one of the InterPlay slogans.  It means that our bodies hold on “tight” to things. Fortunately, we can shake it out! Even “people of the chairs” can let energy move and let spirit flow. We can amuse and be amused. Ellen DeGeneres agrees. She invited Aunt Carol to come on her show after this youtube went viral. Aunt Carol is an InterPlayer “in her heart.” I’m sure.

Take a deep breath and let it out with a sigh….

Shake out whatever you are sitting on.

We’ll use solo movement in this practice, so lets warm up with the InterPlay hand dance.

The four elements earth, air, water, fire each bring unique wisdom and energy to life.

Practice

In stillness tune in to your bodyspirit.
Is one or more elements calling to you this year. Do you need more earth, air, fire, or water?
Welcome the first thing that comes to mind.
Use the hand dance form or stand up to explore and listen to inspiration from the elements No need to figure it out. In moving, thoughts and images may shift, blend or evolve into new ideas. Welcome whatever comes.
If you find it difficult to dance alone, do some free writing or sit in silence. All are embodied practice.)
