Surgery was at 11:10, and I was out the door with Bob by 12:15, looking for a restaurant! I was stunned at how easy and painless it all was. Bob just called and asked about my pain level, and I realized I haven’t had any ibuprofen now for 10 hours, and have no pain. So, there you go.

Between June 25 and surgery day, I’ve had an absolute boatload of people praying on my behalf — I would guess in the hundreds, between friends, family, colleagues, and prayer groups. I’ve had two Reiki sessions, myofascial release therapy, sound vibration therapy directly on the breast and chakras, did a week of “That Camp About God and Sex”, walked a labyrinth with candles and roses with a circle of sacred women, two of whom were 14, who did a healing prayer with me at the center of the labyrinth, and took a day of naps and eating, and journaling. The day before surgery, I had my Reiki session during which my friend, Linda, placed her hands above my chest, and had a little laugh, and told me all she saw were LOTS of pink feathers!! We both thought about the color for breast cancer awareness and support, plus pink for healing, and the feathers we thought  hmmm, feather boa or ANGEL feathers!! YES!! I thought about telling the surgeon that all she would find when she opened me up would be flying pink feathers! But decided against it. One of the sacred women is an intuitive healer, who 9 mos. ago in a session saw my guardian angels — one at each shoulder — and said they were the most beautiful, magnificent angels she’d ever seen!! So, did I feel completely and utterly held and surrounded by love, light, energy and healing? You bet! All of you were there with me — all the entities of light and love carried me through that time yesterday. And thank you for your dance on behalf of me!! I cannot tell you in words how much gratitude I have for you and how our lives intersect. We are in this fabulous web of life and healing together, and I am blessed to be the recipient of so much beauty and light. Thank you! Thank you!
