Dance of the Season video/poem
It’s a seasonal turning point.
Weather, energy, emotion shits.
Parade, stomp, circle, weave. Mark the day
When we dance to change the weather of our lives.

Dance affirms life. Our praise lets the turning season rise in us.
said Lord Byron
“On with the dance! let joy be unconfined;
No sleep till morn, when Youth and Pleasure meet
To chase the glowing hours with flying feet.”

Practice Joy dance
When music plays,  something greater dances us.
Listen to music, tap, rock, sway, be the beat.
Welcome May as you dance in stillness or rise out of your chair
with Loreena McKennitt’s Beltane Dance.

Raise a hand in connection dance/poem/video
Raise your hand in connection to all who welcome the day
You are not alone in joy or grief as we greet the dance
at the beginning, in the midst or at life’s end.

“And so they linked their hands and danced
’round in circles and in rows
And so the journey of the night descends
when all the shades are gone.”

Take a deep breath and let it out with a sigh.

  1. cynthia says:

Well, gosh. There’s an interesting typo. Emotion shits. I meant to say, emotions shift. Some truth in though.

  2. For those on Facebook, there is a virtual dance party there tomorrow.

I love how this idea of taking time to dance wherever you are is proliferating!
