A Blessing and More Poem by John O’Donahue
Used at the InterPlay teaching practicum in Nashville

May you awaken to the mystery of being here, and enter the quiet immensity of your own presence.

May you have joy and peace in the temple of your senses.
…and receive great encouragement when new frontiers beckon.

May you respond to the call of your true North and find the encouragement to follow its path.

May the flame of anger free you from falsity. May warmth of heart keep your presence aglow.

May anxiety never linger about you.  May your outer dignity mirror an inner dignity of soul and grace.

May you be consoled by the wisdom and secret symmetry that is body, mind, heart, and spirit.   May you know all is one.

May you take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that seek no attention.
…and experience each day as a sacred gift woven around the heart of wonder.

May you live and breathe and play and have your Being in the presence of each Divine Other
and for Holy Yourself.

Raise A Hand in Blessing movement
When we dance hand-to-hand we often practice opening the space between us. We can feel that connection even when we aren’t right together. Raise a hand in blessing. Turn in a full circle as you turn and know that others are sending blessings to you too. Take a deep Breath and Let it out with a Sigh
